“As we become aware of ourselves as storytellers we realize we can use our stories to heal and make ourselves whole.” Susan Wittig Albert.

Throughout my time in the mental health field, I have observed the healing power of listening to someone’s story and helping them to find the words to create their own story. I find there is great impact within the occupation of “counselor”, but even more so as a counselor/storyteller. This is what I aim to be for those who I sit with.

Just as I resonate with this quote, I also believe that each person has a unique story that is worthy of being heard and told. My passion in this line of work is helping adolescents, adults, and couples find a nonjudgmental space to sort things out. Whether you feel like the narrative is always negative or it’s completely lost, let’s sit down and find some clarity.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), a a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and I have completed my Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling through Wake Forest University. I have worked at Heritage Family Institute in Travelers Rest, SC, where I learned the importance of collaboration and working as a team- something that sets us apart at Full Life Counseling.

I enjoy working with diverse age groups and varying needs. I employ a multi modal approach to counseling theory, which means that I can meet clients where they are at. This may include CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, mindfulness, Solution focused, and existential counseling depending on the client’s need. My theoretical approach to counseling is person-centered, where I use empathy and non-judgment to build the therapeutic relationship.

Let me help you tell your own story, or even find the words, in a safe place where I believe that healing can happen.
