Jimmy Tunstall, MA, LCMHC, CADC

I work with a broad range of clients including but not limited to those in the LGBTQIA community. I bring with me compassion, kindness, and client-centered support. I specialize in addiction issues, trauma, anxiety, depression and managing difficult thoughts and emotions. I feel strongly that you have inherent wisdom and a right to choose your own path, and it is a privilege to walk with each of you on your journey to wellness.

So often it seems you go through your busy life unaware of what is going on in your mind and in your heart. You are on a fast track to the next appointment or obligation forgetting that you are a human being with thoughts and emotions that if left unchecked, spiral out of control or at best, keep you stuck in unhealthy thinking patterns that prevent you from moving forward in your life. As a Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills trainer, I facilitate skills groups that teach clients valuable tools in the areas of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. For more information on DBT, please visit the Mindfulness Meditation and DBT: A Path Towards Recovery post on our blog.

Sometimes it seems there is no light at the end of the tunnel…but there is. There is hope. I provide a safe, confidential, and compassionate approach to empower you to honor yourself and find a path towards recovery that works utilizing client-centered addiction counseling, Mindfulness and meditation, stress and anxiety reduction, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
