Full Life is now a Synergy Psych Network Partner
Have you had the experience of trying to get in with a psychiatrist but having to wait or finding out there’s no availability at all? Has your provider collaborated with your therapist so that you’re getting consistent messages from both your doctors and your therapist? If you’ve struggled in these ways, please know you’re not alone. And please know that our local psychiatrists have been doing their best to meet a huge demand. When you could benefit from psychiatric care, your Full Life therapist will provide you with a list of psychiatric options, one of which will include Synergy. But the choice of providers will always be yours.
Megan Trawick, PA-C is our Synergy Psych provider. You can learn more about her from her profile page. When you request or are referred for psychiatric care, you’ll be working with Megan to determine what symptoms need relief. She’ll explore what solutions have been tried in the past, what risks she needs to be aware of (i.e., side effects, addiction recovery, if you are nursing or could become pregnant), and how those symptoms are impacting your life. Before your first appointment, she will have already heard from your Full Life therapist, so you won’t have to start from scratch. And she’ll let your therapist know what she concluded, what you decided together, and what she wants you and your therapist to expect with any new medications or medication changes. Megan is our Synergy partner for your psychiatric care, and we’ll be working together for you every step of the way.
What is the Synergy Psych Network? Full Life and other group counseling practices may not be able to afford our own psychiatric provider, but by partnering with Synergy Psych, we have the opportunity to refer our clients, collaborate along the way, and know that we can contact Megan anytime we are concerned that you may not be getting good symptom relief and need to get in. Synergy is a separate medical practice recognized by both the North Carolina Medical Board and the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, and it is owned by Ginny Mills.
We’ve always known what mattered, and now we can provide it.
- Collaborative Care ~ our psychiatric provider will work with your therapist, and together we’re working for you for the best possible outcome. If you need psychiatric care but don’t have a therapist, we’ll be happy to help you find a great therapist.
- Recovery-Friendly Psychiatry ~ Although we provide adult general psychiatric care, and we are specialists in providing recovery-friendly psychiatric care. What is that, you say? It is a commitment to treating mental health symptoms while being careful not to prescribe medicines that threaten recovery. We seek creative solutions for adequate symptom relief with safe medicines and other solutions.
- Prompt & Responsive Service ~ We want to help you get started promptly. We’ll also see you regularly anytime after we make changes, introduce a new medicine, or if you’re having a particularly hard time. We’ll return calls, get you back in asap, and recognize the importance of helping you management your symptoms safety and responsibly.
I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.
