Aliza Fleming, Graduate Student

My name is Aliza Fleming, and I am a current master’s student in Clinical Social Work training to become a mental health counselor. I currently work as an addictions counselor and am passionate about supporting individuals navigating challenges related to substance use. I also enjoy working with people who want to improve their relationships, manage anxiety or depression, or who feel stuck and are looking for a way forward.

I primarily identify with Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Motivational Interviewing allows us to collaborate and build on the strengths you already possess, helping you put those strengths into meaningful action. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps us uncover unhelpful beliefs about yourself or the world and reframe them into healthier, more accurate perspectives that align with your values.

I am motivated by the belief that every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and change and that the tools for that change already exist within you. As a counselor I hope to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment or discomfort. My goal is to be a steady, healthy support system for my clients and to encourage healing grounded in empowerment and compassion.
